ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3: The first table read for Kerry Washington and company is…
We just found out that “Scandal” will be launching its new season on Thursday, October 3, and we now also have some other news to go along with it: When the production is in many ways going to begin for Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and most of the rest of the cast.
In a new post on Twitter, executive producer Shonda Rhimes confirmed that the cast will be back together for their first read-through on Thursday, which allows them for plenty of time to prepare for the actual premiere episode itself to air. It has become customary for shows to try and stay at least a few episodes ahead of the curve, with one of the primary reasons for that being that it allows for opportunities to not become too stressful or rushed during the post-production process.
As for some of what you can expect to see during the new season, one of the primary things is some sort of continuation directly on the cliffhanger for season 2, where Olivia not only ran into her father, but also learned that the entire country had been made aware of her affair with the President. Who in the world leaked the story? That is one of the questions that remains, but she is going to have her hands full from the very beginning of this coming episode trying to really get her head wrapped around what is becoming an increasingly-complicated portion of her life.
