ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Barry Sloane charts return as Aiden

For those of you who loved seeing Emily Thorne’s life more complicated than ever, you will probably be thrilled by this news: You’re going to see so much more of Barry Sloane on “Revenge” season 3. The actor, who was promoted to series regular last year, confirmed the news on his Twitter account by saying that he is back, and posting a photo of the table read for the premiere (which also features new guest star Justin Hartley playing Patrick, Victoria Grayson’s long-lost son).

First of all, is this the prettiest location ever for a table read? Usually, you see these people cooped up in some sort of cramped office, where it is hard to even remotely consider having an appreciation for the work. This is also a sign that a few actors still also very much have their hiatus beards going on, which is not a surprise given that you often want to hold on to those for as long as you possibly can (given that you have no opportunity at all to change your facial hair for about nine months).

So what could we potentially expect from Aiden on “Revenge” this season? We hope that he continues to become somewhat unraveled, given that this was an interesting side of him at the end of season 2 when things started to fall apart. With that being said, we don’t know how hard we have to beg to never have the words “The Initiative” ever brought up on this show again. It’s insufferable to really have to deal with something like a ghostly entity that is not altogether interesting as a tangible villain.
