‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Possible Glenn / Maggie conflict coming

The Walking Dead, Lauren CohanPlease say it’s not so: Drama for Glenn and Maggie on “The Walking Dead”? Being that they are just about the only thing still good left in the world of this show, we want nothing more than to see the pair happy at the end of the day. However, there are still some problems that, like any couple, the two are going to be forced to deal with. Let’s just hope that it does not lead the two parties to break up.

Speaking to TV Guide as a part of their brand-new issue, executive producer Robert Kirkman sums up the couple’s basic problem in a rather simple manner:

“I don’t think [Maggie] thinks she needs to be protected as [Glenn] feels that she needs to be, so it’s a source of tension between them.”

So will Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan’s characters really ever sort this out before season 4 comes to a close? We have to believe so, if for no other reason than that the two do represent something significant for the show, and while there are many deaths that Kirkman and the writers are willing to put on the screen, we don’t think that these are ones that we could stand to lose at any point in the future. They provide light and levity, and we cannot stress just how important that is on a show where there is a body count larger than what many networks have combined.
