‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele celebrates Adam Lambert casting

Earlier this week, the news was first handed down from “Glee” boss Ryan Murphy that Adam Lambert was going to be one of the marquee guest stars for the show when it returns to Fox this fall. While Murphy was not exactly forthcoming when it came to details about the gig, the most likely destination for his character seems to be New York City. Why? The reasoning here should be pretty simple: More of the characters are going to be progressively finding their way to the Big Apple over the course of the show’s run, and we have an incredibly hard time imagining that Adam would play a student at McKinley High.

While Adam himself has not commented on the news save for a brief quote that he is “so excited” to get to work, at least one of his possible scene partners is more than thrilled to have him on board. In a new post on her Twitter account, Lea Michele had the following to say about getting the chance to work with Adam soon:

“Omg so excited that @adamlambert is going to be on #Glee this season! I hope he’s with me in NYC! #GleeSeason5”

“Glee” season 5 will officially start filming a little later this month, and we believe that we will have much more of an opportunity at that time to figure out just who Adam is going to be playing. The one pretty-safe assumption to make at this point? Given his extensive background in music, the man is probably going to be singing a good deal.
