ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Who is Patrick Harper?

“Revenge” fans, are you ready for one of your first major casting scoops for season 3? We hope so, since we’re feeling rather confident that this one is going to probably throw you for a few loops.

According to a report from SpoilerTV, the producers behind ABC’s Sunday-night hit, desperate to cling onto what ratings it has left, are currently casting a character known as Patrick Harper. He is a charming man on the surface, but there is something dark bubbling underneath the surface. What is that? Oh, it may have something to do with the fact that the man is the firstborn son of Victoria Grayson. If you followed the show last season, you knew this was coming: It was the next major step when it came to the Grayson family crisis, and a possible political thorn in the side for Conrad.

This character could premiere in (ironically) the season premiere this September, but will make a bevy of appearances throughout at least the early part of the season. Will they have more of an impact than Emily Thorne’s mom? We hope so, since that was one of the biggest “wah wah” moments of season 2; Jennifer Jason Leigh was great, but we expected so much more out of the role.

The funny thing is that this may be the first time that the “Revenge” cast is hearing the confirmation about Victoria’s son finally coming our way. After all, Emily VanCamp said in an interview a matter of days ago that she didn’t really have that much of an idea at all what was going on, since she hadn’t read any of the scripts.

We’ll be on the lookout for more “Revenge” scoop: We know that the next few months are long, especially when there are so many mysteries remaining (including that big one for Ashley Davenport).
