‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Stephen Amell, cast’s production start date is…

ArrowFor those of you who want to bust out your hoods and fire off an arrow in celebration, we have some good news coming your way now: The official start date for “Arrow” season 2 production. In a new post on Twitter (one later tweeted by series star Stephen Amell) Green Arrow TV reported that the production on the CW series will kick off beginning on Wednesday, July 10.

When it comes to timing, this does very much feel about right. It takes a solid nine months to have a season filmed, and for “Arrow” this means anywhere from 22 to 23 episodes. That means a ton of trying, physical work for Amell, who is in the vast majority of scenes as Oliver Queen.

The good news for Comic-Con fans is that this date confirms that Amell and the rest of the cast will have a good week and a half under their belt before flying down to San Diego for their annual panel, whereas the producers will have been working on the story for a few months. The writers have already been working for several weeks to churn out new scripts, which are still shrouded in mystery. What we can say right now is that Colton Haynes and Emily Bett Rickards have each been promoted to series regulars, so we should expect some meaty stories for both Felicity and Roy Harper. (We can’t wait for all of the Olicity shippers to make hilarious demands of the stars during the Comic-Con panel.)

If you want to check out a complete roster of the “Arrow” actors who will be in San Diego for the big event, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
