‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: Who will get in Mike’s head?
When “Suits” season 3 starts up on USA on Tuesday, July 16 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, we are going to see Mike Ross faced with some very important questions. How much does he love Rachel, and what is he willing to give up in order to be with her? We’ve caught the premiere episode, and we have to say that there are times in which it appears that a number of people are going to attempt to be Mike’s puppeteer, in hopes to have him do what they want him to.
We’re not going to be so cruel as to spoil anything for you, but when it comes to the Mike / Rachel dynamic in this episode, expect it to be pretty exciting. There is a new air of danger that lays underneath the surface with it, since Rachel now knows that there is something within Mike’s own past that she can use against him. Does that mean that she will? Not necessarily, but the option is there.
But Rachel is not going to be the only person trying to influence Mike in some shape or form during the episode; as a matter of fact, nearly every other series regular on this show will try to do the same thing by the end of the hour. At the end of the day, the decision about his life is his and his alone, and what is incredibly exciting about this season is seeing how some of this tension mounts in regards to Rachel and his secret, especially since there are other stresses playing a role including Rachel’s career ambitions and the arrival of some British partners to the firm.
What do you want to see Mike do? We want to hear your thoughts below! Also, be sure to click here to take a first look at “Game of Thrones” star Michelle Fairley on the show.

Blondie is going to wreck Mike & Rachel. She’s the Heather Locklear (namely her “Melrose Place” character) of the show. She already warned Rachel that the lawyers may sleep with the paralegals but they wind up with the female attorneys.
It’s a no-brainier that this chick is going to be a thorn in Rachel’s side. I also wonder if Rachel’s ex-boyfriend will come into the picture. The writers can’t make things too easy for Mike & Rachel.
As far as her career. I believe that Harvard rejected Rachel because Robert Zane told them to. I am a law applicant; so I know a lot about law school admissions. All Harvard applicants have stellar numbers, so the decision is almost always about intangibles and soft factors. The director of admissions gave Lewis a bs excuse that was purely numbers-based.
Rachel had a strong essay, absurely stellar work experience and is a “LEGACY” (via her father)! On top of that, she’s an African-American with a 173 on the LSAT. Not only does that put her in the top 2% of all test/takers, she was probably in the top 5-10 (total raw number here!) test-takers in the country. There’s no way Harvard Law turns her down…absent some interference from the overprotective Robert Zane.
