‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 notes: A new parody, and Jorah’s new role
Our goal with these “Game of Thrones” notes pieces is not to give you something that you could just read in the books, but rather a way to facilitate your off-season experience somewhat (since waiting for nine-plus months feels like torture … though not on Theon Greyjoy levels).
We begin here with what is the latest of what is probably going to be countless parody videos that we see related to the show over the summer, since there is so much in here worth spoofing. This idea is rather novel, since it revolves around the what-if scenario that would probably make George R.R. Martin cry: What if Zooey Deschanel played Danaerys, or what if Aubrey Plaza was Ygritte or Michael Cera was Joffrey? It’s basically “Game of Thrones” through the eyes of really awkward people, and we’re pretty sure the show would not be nearly as violent or explicit if they were around. (Video source.)
Casting news – So where else can you see Ser Jorah very soon? How about another drama series! Sources confirm that Iain Glen, along with “Smash” actor Jack Davenport, are each signing up for an ITV / PBS Masterpiece co-production called “Breathless,” which will focus on the world of medicine at the turn of the 1960s.
In case you are wondering If this means that bad things are in store for Jorah, not necessarily. While “Game of Thrones” has a lengthy production schedule, the immense size of the cast makes it possible for them to do their work here on the show, and also have the time to book other jobs.
What do you think about all of this? If you want to see some more “Game of Thrones” news, though this time pertaining more to Emilia Clarke, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
