‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert – Queen chatter; Jessica Sanchez sings ‘Glee’ track

Adam LambertAre we about to see a reunion of sorts between Adam Lambert and Queen? As you may remember from last year, the former “American Idol” star performed a series of dates across Europe with the legendary band, and received rave reviews for it in the process in capturing some of Freddie Mercury’s passion while keeping to his own signature style.

So could there be a reunion of sorts in the future? For the time being, the band is certainly not ruling anything out. Speaking in a new interview with MTV UK, the band’s famous guitarist Brian May said that there are currently plans to record something again in the future:

“We are talking about doing something with Adam, probably for TV. He’s an amazing artist and a very nice guy. We keep in touch and have a good friendship.”

“We’re not talking about touring yet, but we are talking about doing an event.”

This is something that we’ll keep watch on in the months ahead. Right now, one of the biggest question marks is seeing if “American Idol” will still look at a judging panel of former contestants now that there is a new boss at Fox and a new executive producer in Per Blankens.

Jessica performs with PS22 chorus – Now for something that will probably warm your heart, even if it probably is pretty warm already on this hot summer day. Jessica Sanchez, while at a recent Trevor Live event benefiting the Trevor Project in New York City, performed a rendition of “Clarity” accompanied by the famous boys and girls of P.S. 22. This school choir has performed with a bevy of stars over the years, including Jessica’s fellow former “American Idol” contestant Phillip Phillips.
