‘The X Factor’ notes: Fifth Harmony’s ‘Miss Movin On’ lyric video, Emblem3, Cher Lloyd
For this edition of “X Factor” notes, we start things off here with what some Fifth Harmony fans should really celebrate: The release of their official music video for “Miss Movin’ On.” It’s a song that has already generated quite a bit of buzz online, and we do in all honesty believe it is one of the best lead singles released by anyone who came off of this show.
Now, check out the lyric video for the song below. In it, the ladies all hold up various pieces of paper with the lyrics scribbled on them (much like the classic Bob Dylan video for “Subterranean Homesick Blues”), while occasionally singing along with the track. While the concept here is hardly revolutionary, this video does a pretty great job at the end of the day of showcasing the ladies’ personalities, and appealing to that demographic of young girls who want to think of these girls as their friends and potential role models.
A new song from Cher Lloyd – In jumping over to the UK version of the show for a moment, check out “It’s All Good,” a song that the “With Ur Love” singer performs alongside Ne-Yo. This is not a single so much as it is a promotion for Fruttare Fruit Bars, but some of you Brats (Cher fans, for those uniformed) should still enjoy it.
A new video featuring Emblem3 – Remember Emblem3’s recent performance on “Good Morning America”? The band sent out a new video featuring themselves, Little Mix, and the show’s personalities explaining what it was like the day that their concert aired. It also explains a little bit more why bad weather kept the performance from happening in the typical spot in Central Park.
