ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: Josh Malina hints at David Rosen’s future

“Scandal” fans, we may as well be honest: There are not going to be a whole lot of opportunities coming up in the near future for you to get excited about the future of the show. Why? Think of a little something known as production not being underway for another month. The only people currently in the know are the writers, producers, and anyone else that has an opportunity to pick the brain of executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

So what can we do for the time being? How about speculate on the future! Josh Malina was recently asked about what could happen when it comes to David Rosen following his new found appointment to U.S. Attorney, he suggested to TVLine that he may do his best now to try and take a major step up when it comes to his future … which does not exactly include working alongside Olivia Pope and her time of Gladiator:

“Having spent the time he has with [Pope & Associates], he has newfound respect for them… and he went to school on them. Because he learned that if you really want to be effective – and that’s the sad story of his for the year – pure white hat-edness only gets you so far … I think he considers himself apart from — and possibly above [them].”

This is not to say that David will be absent from the episodes ahead. Given that this guy earned his “shady” card during the finale, we have a hard time imagining that we have seen the last of the character by any means on the show.
