‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: Whose mother are we set to meet?

As you probably know already, a certain flashback episode coming up on “Suits” season 3 is going to give us a prime opportunity to spend time with both Harvey and his father, and actually inform us a little bit as to what this character was like during some of his early days practicing law.

Now, we also know that another parental figure is entering the world of the show for the upcoming season. According to a report from TVLine, the series is getting set now to introduce the role of Jessica’s mother during an upcoming episode, but don’t expect her to be just like how Gina Torres plays her character. While she is described as being a strong, powerful woman, she is also much more sympathetic and kind than her daughter is. To us, we see this as very much a good thing, given that we don’t need so much intensity on this show that even we start to get a little bit stressed out.

This casting news follows up the big announcement that “Game of Thrones” star Michelle Fairley has scored a major arc throughout much of the third season, which means that USA is really loading up on both talent and story for what is one of their cornerstone series. Given that “Burn Notice” is ending and “Psych” is likely going to do the same based on Maggie Lawson’s new show, “Suits” is going to be relied on more than ever to deliver and we’re pretty confident that it will rise to the challenge.
