NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, more sit down with Oprah Winfrey
Usually for “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the focus is almost entirely on one person rather than a group. However, it feels as though this is going to change somewhat for one of the NBC hit’s upcoming broadcasts.
In a new post on Twitter recently, Adam Levine confirmed that he, Blake Shelton, Usher, Shakira, and host Carson Daly (along with social-media correspondent Christina Milian) are going to be appearing in the Sunday, June 2 edition of the OWN series. We don’t know everything that the show is going to focus on just yet, but it could be about some of the components that have caused this show to be so successful in the first place. Its blind auditions alone have become incredibly popular, and all you have to do is look at the Billboard charts for evidence of how much it has contributed to individual career successes.
The ratings for season 4 have dropped somewhat in recent weeks, which you can blame on either it becoming warmer outside to there being a crop of contestants who may not be as exciting as in years past. Nonetheless, this is still one of the strongest series on TV, and the franchise plans to be around for at least one or two more seasons after this one.
