‘Glee’ season 5: Jenna Ushkowitz on hopes for Tina
We’re now over two weeks into the “Glee” hiatus, and save for the news that Vanessa Lengies is by and large leaving the show in order to pursue her new ABC comedy “Mixology,” there’s really still not that much out there in the way of news as to what happens next. We know that graduation is coming at some point, and following that, there is a mystery as to what some of these characters will do next. That’s really all we can say without getting into speculation territory. (For those who are curious, we would be shocked if a few more characters do not end up moving to New York by the time that the story ends.)
While Jenna Ushkowitz may be in the dark right now when it comes to the future of her character Tina, she is nonetheless still speaking out about what she would like to see unfold. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly designed in part to promote her new book Choosing Glee, she explains in part
“I think some of the things I [hope for her are] to take risks and to not take everything so seriously … Make sure you tell people how you feel and to laugh everyday!”
There have been some extended periods of time on the show over the years where it has been easy to grow somewhat frustrated with “Glee” over their use of Tina, but at least this past spring they gave her a storyline when it came to her friendship with Blaine, and how she wanted it to be more romantic. It was rather sad at times, but it showed as well some of her best qualities, including how loyal she can be and why she is the sort of person that you really would want to be your friend at the end of the day.
Do you have any specific hopes for what we could see out of Tina? If you want to see who from “Glee” recently made the bold move to cut off most of their hair off, all you have to do is click on the link here.

I would say Tina isn’t featured much because Jenna isn’t a very good actor but since they feature Blaine (played by another mediocre actor Darren), way to much it has to be some other reason. But truth be told glee was at its best when it focused on a few leads and let the supporting cast support those stories then giving them a “B” plot every once in awhile.
