‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Something to keep you waiting for episode 9
If you are excited for “Game of Thrones” to air on HBO, you’re surely not the only one. However, you’re going to have to wait a week longer than usual, since the network is airing their Michael Douglas-led TV movie “Behind the Candelabra” tonight, largely in fear that the Memorial Day Weekend holiday would lead to a smaller overall audience of people showing an interest in watching the show.
Therefore, we’re left for now to sit around and wait, but we thought to help make the wait a little easier, we’d present a few tiny stories to keep you engaged in the world of George R.R. Martin’s Westeros.
1. What to expect next week – There will be a couple of jaw dropping moments, some of the young characters’ story-lines will start to take a little more shape, and there will be something involving a wedding that gets people excited. For now, that’s all we can say.
2. Watch a quick video recap – Just to keep your mind fresh, here are a few assorted highlights of everything that we have seen on the show to this point.
3. Finally, some new thoughts – We’ll close here with a fun quote from Sibel Kekilli (Shae) to Complex Magazine about where she would like to see her character end up when the dust finally settles:
“[I’d want to see her being] the queen, of course! To marry Tyrion and be the queen! I would love if Tyrion would adore Shae until the end of their lives. So, of course, it would be the perfect, happy end. [Laughs.] I just want for Shae, at the end of the day, for her to look at herself in the mirror, and be honest to herself, and go her own way. I wish she could be happy and find someone who loves her and not the power more than her.”
