ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: One hilarious reaction to Castle / Beckett engagement

We don’t know a whole lot of people who don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other as to whether or not Castle and Beckett should start off the upcoming sixth season of “Castle” as an engaged couple. You either love it and want it to happen no matter the timing, and then you have some that feel that the timing was slightly off given everything that Beckett was going through with her job … though they still expect it to happen eventually.

So what does one person who is very connected to this entire situation have to say about it? In an interview with TV Guide, Susan Sullivan, who plays the character of Castle’s mom Martha, gave an answer that was pretty much the equivalent of her questioning the sanity of a woman who would not be interested in marrying her son … though it is also not lost on her that Beckett accepting the proposal would mean that there would be a major change coming up for her character soon:

“What woman in her right mind would say no to him? Therein would lie the problem: I may actually have to move out. Yikes!”

If Beckett does say no, we like to think that the answer would only be temporary … but given how much tension there was with this relationship at the time the finale came around, who knows what is really on her mind? She has a wonderful career opportunity waiting for her in Washington DC, and we have a feeling that she will not take that lightly.
