‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 spoilers: Elizabeth McGovern, Rob-James Collier interviews
It’s not very often that you get two “Downton Abbey” interviews in one place, but luckily, the lovely folks over at Gold Derby have managed to pull it off. This website is a great resource for anyone looking for awards-show analysis almost all year, and this is how they are able to accrue some fantastic interviews with TV stars willing to talk about their work and awards season as a whole.
If you have a good bit of time on your hands, you’ll probably find a lot to like in these videos. There is some talk about season 4 in here, but nothing that is altogether a giant spoiler as to leave you upset and screaming at your computer screen. Instead, the conversation is more on production, playing characters, and the process of acting along with the delicate game involving awards-show nominations. (If there was ever a real-life version of “Game of Thrones,” this is it.)
The interviews that we’ve advertised in the title are with Rob-James Collier (Thomas) and Elizabeth McGovern (Cora), but we’ve also thrown in some older ones as well with executive producer Gareth Neame along with Jim Carter (Mr. Carson). Two of these actors have been Emmy nominees previously, and they all could have shots in what is a very competitive race this time around. Season 3 will be the eligible, and that was a particularly big one for the character of Thomas.
What’s your take on all of these chats, and do you think that “Downton Abbey” has a legitimate shot at taking home some Emmy Awards this year? If you do want to read some more season 4 scoop pertaining to Maggie Smith, you can do so over at the link here.

Great interview of Rob James-Collier, and I like Elizabeth McGovern’s as well. Thank you! It’s refreshing to hear from these actors for a change.
