‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 finale: What Nina Dobrev wants for Elena
What is going to happen on the upcoming “Vampire Diaries” season 4 finale? That is very much still a mystery. However, we are at least getting a little bit more of a sense now from one of the show’s cast members as to just what she would like to see unfold for her character of Elena Gilbert.
In a new interview with HollywoodLife, Nina Dobrev makes a pretty surprising admission that unlike the vast majority of the show’s devoted fans, she really does not have some sort of open preference as to who she would like to see her character end up with at the end of the season. Rather, she feels like Elena, now with her humanity completely restored, would be better off to embark on a personal journey rather then finding herself obsessing over a guy:
“I would like Elena to go to Europe and go backpacking for a year … [She should] ditch the boys and experience some life without the vampires.”
Of course, the problem that comes with that is that Elena is a vampire herself, unless of course she manages to take the cure in the finale. We know that this episode will feature someone finally changing their lives forever with this cure, whereas someone hoping to become human again will probably be brokenhearted. Meanwhile, the love triangle that at one point existed between Elena, Damon, and Stefan will in some ways be restored to what it was in earlier seasons, though with much more history and baggage.
What do you think: Could it really benefit Elena to get away from the Salvatore brothers for a while in order to get out an enjoy life a little bit more? If you want to see some more “Vampire Diaries” news courtesy of Candice Accola (Caroline), be sure to hit up the link here.
