‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Ian Somerhalder talks finale, season 5, and more

While season 4 of “The Vampire Diaries” may be complete as far as production goes, that isn’t stopping some of the cast members from speaking out about anything and everything related to it. As a matter of fact, many cast members are now embarking on a convention tour around the world in an effort to give back to fans. The show’s international following is huge compared to many other shows in America, and the cast has proven themselves time and time again to be among the most generous out there.

For a prime example of this, just check out what happened with Ian Somerhalder earlier this weekend. The actor has been one of many (along with Paul Wesley and Nathaniel Buzolic) at BloodyNightCon3 in Barcelona, Spain, where he had the opportunity to chat with a variety of fans in a lively Q&A session. While there are no major spoilers in here (largely since the last thing he wants is to be dealing with The CW yelling at him for secrets hitting the internet), there is talk about the final few weeks of the season, what he’d like to see in season 5, and more experiences on the set.
