‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 22 preview: Trying to save Dr. Bailey

Can Miranda Bailey be brought back effectively into the fold at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital? Moving into Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” this is the question that is firmly on the minds of many fans. We’ve seen the doctor endure harsh questioning in the wake of the CDC situation, and at the end of last week’s “Sleeping Monster,” it was revealed that Bailey was starting to come to terms with what she did at the hospital, including making the realization that she was responsible for the deaths of a number of patients.

In the sneak peek below for “Do You Believe in Magic,” you really start to see this weigh heavily on the doctor. Bailey says that she is having a hard time coping with the deaths during a chat with Ben, and while he does just about everything that he can in order to make her feel all right, nothing is understandably working to take the pain and guilt away.

After this conversation, some of Bailey’s fellow doctors also try to stress to her how important she really is to the hospital functioning correctly, but unfortunately she is not particularly interested in helping them out much, either. She has to help herself first and foremost, and it is not entirely clear at the moment what is going to be the best way for her to do that.
