‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 production: Trek begins for Norman Reedus, others

Norman ReedusWhile it’s always frustrating to have a show that you enjoy go off of the air for a lengthy span of time, one of the things that “The Walking Dead” really manages to do right is finding a way to keep itself in the headlines almost year-round. Look at it from this vantage point: The third season ended at the tail end of last month, and now the show is already getting opportunities to build up excitement over the start of season 4 production. After all, some of the actors are already beginning the journey that takes them back to what is for many of them their second home in Atlanta.

Norman Reedus posted a photo on his Twitter page announcing that he “made it” back, and executive producer Gale Ann Hurd also put up the following message a little earlier this week:

“Happy to be back in Georgia, my home away from home. Loved BBQ lunch in the sunshine today with the fantastic TWD crew.”

While filming has seemingly not begun yet on the new season, the cast is at least making their way to the city, and pre-production is certainly in full force. For some actors, we’re sure that they want to get themselves somewhat settled into the city before going back to work, rather than trying to cram both filming and moving in a short amount of time (especially with very long production days that leave for very little time off).

There is no official word just yet as to when “The Walking Dead” season 4 will premiere; however, you can read some of our speculation about a premiere date (with some solid evidence from AMC’s schedule) over at the link here.
