ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 finale spoilers: More official details on Emily’s path

As we shared recently, we are looking at a pretty devastating end to “Revenge” season 2 when the show wraps on Sunday, May 12. Why? By the end of the two-hour installment, at least one character is going to die, and we are going to see Emily Thorne in a situation where she is really forced to figure out whether or not she is doing the right thing for herself and her life by continuing down this path to avenge what happened to her father. After all, as horrible as what happened truly is, can there any way that she can really fix it now?

ABC of course is not going to give away the answer to this question, but the official synopsis for the two hours does a better job of explaining the story than pretty much anything that we have shared here previously:

“The second season of “Revenge” culminates in a special two-hour finale event with two back-to-back episodes filled with high octane and life changing moments, SUNDAY, MAY 12 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. In the first hour, entitled ‘Truth, Part One’ (9:00-10:00 p.m.), a series of dangerous events has been set in motion and it all comes to a head in one catastrophic moment that will change everyone’s lives forever. In the emotional second hour, ‘Truth, Part Two’ (10:00-11:00 p.m.), the devastation leads to a heartbreaking death that will send shockwaves down the shoreline and force Emily to take a hard look at the truth and the path of revenge she has embarked on.”

If you know this show well, then there is one thing that we can almost surely promise you will see: a cliffhanger for season 3. While an official renewal has yet to happen, the odds are leaning heavily in that direction.
