‘The Bachelor’: ABC planning special for Sean Lowe, other stars’ ‘bloopers’

The BachelorABC just can’t get enough of “The Bachelor” these days. After the most-recent season featuring Sean Lowe ended up drawing some of the highest ratings that the franchise has had in two years, the network has opted to help lead up to the launch of Desiree Hartsock’s “The Bachelorette” on May 27 with a special that is really designed to do just one thing and one thing only: make you laugh until you are rolling on the floor.

On May 21 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (which is right before the grand two-hour finale of “Dancing with the Stars”), the network will unveil “The Bachelor’s Funniest Moments.” This will of course be hosted by Chris Harrison, and will feature clips potentially from not only Sean’s season, but also every other installment of the show since the very beginning.

There is still one major question that we have to ask when it comes to this: doesn’t “The Bachelor” and / or “The Bachelorette” already give us bloopers every season? As a way to fill time during the annual “Women Tell All” special, there is always a series of clips showing off some of the craziest moments of the entire season. We don’t know if the producers kept more footage for a special that they never necessarily knew was going to even exist, or if they just plan on bringing in some of the clips that we have seen already over the years.

Even if they do end up doing the latter, it may not end up being a bad thing; after all, you could look at this as almost a reality TV lesson.

What do you think about ABC having a special that is really all about deleted scenes related to the show? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, you can check out some more scoop related to Desiree Hartsock’s upcoming season of “The Bachelorette” over at the link here.
