‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Kim Zolciak responds to Kandi Burruss ‘suit’
So is Kim Zolciak going to be tardy with her court documents over “Tardy for the Party”? It certainly doesn’t sound like it. as the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is getting knee-deep into her legal battle with Kandi Burruss over the hit song that the two parties created earlier in the series’ run.
As you may have heard previously, Kandi decided to sue Kim, claiming that she has not been compensated properly for what has to be one of the most-popular songs ever released by any star of the Bravo franchise. Now, TMZ is reporting that Kim has fired off new documents claiming that not only does she not owe Kandi a cent for creating the club track, but that even Kandi does not believe that she is owed any money for the song. She chalks it up instead to a promotional technique for the upcoming Bravo series “The Kandi Factory,” where Burruss tries to help young singers pursue some of their dreams at stardom.
In reality, Kim also could benefit from the added publicity of this suit, as well, even if she doesn’t want it to happen. After all, she has her own Bravo spin-off show called “Don’t Be Tardy,” though it would admittedly be rather embarrassing for her if the very song that she named her show after was something that ended up costing her some extra money in the courtroom.
Hopefully, we’ll have some more information on this case soon, regardless of what the verdict ends up being.
