‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Emilia Clarke’s big trade
So is Daenerys Targeryan really going to give away something that is of the utmost value to her? On Sunday night’s “Game of Thrones,” she proclaimed that it would be so, and that she would give up one of her three dragons (and the largest one, to boot) in return for 8,000 of the strongest soldiers on the planet in the Unsullied. Of course, this was controversial in itself: a woman that we wanted to root for has now purchased slaves, and does the end really justify the means? While we’re sure she will treat this army far better than their previous rulers, it is not like they will be able to go about their lives as free men.
While there are a few assorted teasers thrown about in the clip below, the only one that truly leaves any sort of substantial impact is the proclamation from Cersei Lannister that the Tyrell family is trouble, and should be removed as quick as possible. The problem with that, though, is simple: she’s not the one sitting on the throne. Joffrey is, and for the first time ever, he actually seems to genuinely like the woman that he is courting closely in Margaery. Everyone save for Cersei loves her, and she may actually be changing the image of the royals to the commoners.
Some of the other characters expected to be featured in this episode are Theon and Arya, though the role of a few others (including Jaime and his one hand) remains a mystery for the time being.
