Anna Gunn’s post-‘Breaking Bad’ season 5 project tracking well

SkylerWhile it is sad to see “Breaking Bad” coming to a close after five seasons, one of the few positive things to report is that many of the show’s actors have already found other work to move forward with their careers. Dean Norris is committed to the CBS summer series “Under the Dome,” Betsy Brandt is going to star in Michael J. Fox’s upcoming NBC comedy (greenlit already for a full 22 episodes), and we’re now hearing that it is looking more and more likely that Anna Gunn will get on the air late this year in Bravo’s first-ever scripted project.

According to Deadline, the network is currently happy with what they are seeing from “Rita,” the adaptation of a Danish program featuring Gunn in the leading role. There is not much known about the show just yet, but given the tone of Bravo as a whole and its viewer base, you can expect this to be somewhat of a departure for Gunn after playing Skyler White for so many years.

So what is going to happen for Skyler as we near the end of “Breaking Bad”? We may have saw her hit rock bottom when she jumped into the pool during the party scene, and things between here and Walt were actually starting to get better before Hank made the revelation about Leaves of Grass. Now, we’re assuming that there is only one direction that things can go … and it’s down. Down to a deep, dark place where there’s no turning back for any of these people.

Are you excited to see if Gunn’s first post-“Breaking Bad” project is successful? If you want to read some more news on the spin-off show being conceived currently for Bob Odenkirk’s Saul, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
