‘American Idol’ top 6 results: Lazaro Arbos vs. Angie Miller, Janelle Arthur
“American Idol” this season can best be described in one word: awkward. At the start of every results show, all of the contestants seem to know that Lazaro Arbos should be the one going home. Not only that, but even Lazaro himself said earlier this week that he expected to leave. The judges have made their feelings on the subject clear, and the only thing that has really saved him so far is the fact that some of the viewing public has developed some sort of attachment to his inspirational story.
So did the man somehow find a way to be safe again? We heard before the show that this was going to be a pretty “shocking” elimination episode, and we took this as code to be that Lazaro was going to be safe yet again. Ryan Seacrest set us up for a shocker by doing his famous “huff” that he seems to do once the season: grouping the contestants on various parts of the stage.
Group one – Angie Miller and Janelle Arthur.
Group two – Lazaro and Amber Holcomb.
Group three – Kree Harrison and Candice Glover.
The moment these groups all formed, we had a feeling that it was going to be Angie who was in danger, since she was the first person to perform on a night where Kree and Candice dominated. After all, how would a Lazaro elimination really be that shocking given that a multitude of people have been asking him to go home for some time?
This meant that there was really only one option: Amber was at risk of being sent home. You knew that she was going to be kept safe, though, since she is a judges’ favorite, and there is one so much time that the judges can use this.
Of course, we can be wrong. Was Nicki being sarcastic when she said this was shocking considering that Lazaro went home? It’s hard to say. Anyhow, the judges didn’t use the save, and now we only have ladies left in the competition.
Are you glad that the lengthy Lazaro saga is over? If you want to see what we thought would happen before the performance show, be sure to visit the story over here.

The judges on this show actually need some kind of training in empathy. This young guy was performing with an obvious disability and instead of tearing the guy to shreds they should have let him go earlier. I know that he should have been given the opportunity to prove himself but he should not have even been in the top 10 because I am sure he absolutely has no self confidence remaining after the way the judges have treated him.
