‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Now with (sweet?) musical numbers
Right when you think that there is no further way in which “Game of Thrones” could possibly be skewered, then something like the following comes along. Luckily, the video is more than a little bit on the hilarious side, and it also shows that there is a way to make the story of Daenerys Targeryan somehow into a sugary sweet musical.
This video stars Evelina and Peter Hollens as Dany and Jorah, and features what is a song that combines the style and themes of a Disney musical with the content of the show’s second season, as the Mother of Dragons sings about her desire to cross the sea. Does Peter really look much like Jorah at all? Not really, but the lyrics help to make up for that as the perfect reflection of “she’s just not that into you.”
The good news for fans of Emilia Clarke’s real “Game of Thrones” character is that she now has a ship on season 3, and she’s moving on to the next step: trying to find a way to procure an army. The Unsullied seems to be her top candidate at the moment even in spite of their status as slaves, with the primary reason being desperation, and a willingness to compromise her morals so long as she is able to get what she truly wants back more than anything else: her stake of the Iron Throne.
Overall, what do you think about this video, and does it stack up well in your mind to some of the other “Game of Thrones” clips out there? Be sure to also visit the link here to watch a funny video about the time Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) literally ran into George Clooney.
