‘Anger Management’ season 2 spoilers: First promo of Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen

While we have seen a little bit of footage already for the upcoming “Anger Management” episode next week featuring Lindsay Lohan alongside Charlie Sheen, we now have the first real footage that was actually cut together from the episode.

So is there some evidence here of the former “Mean Girls” star’s comedy chops? As cynical as we want to be, the primary joke in the promo below is actually not terrible by the FX series’ standards. Sheen’s Charlie Goodson offers Lohan (playing herself) a powdered donut, but as she takes a bite a member of the paparazzi takes a photo of her with some powder above her upper lip. What happens next? It basically hits the show’s version of the TMZ TV show, with the headline being that Lindsay is back off the wagon again.

This joke alone helps to make us understand a little bit more as to why Lohan wanted to make this appearance in the first place. While she’s built up some sort of rapport with Sheen ever since the two filmed “Scary Movie 5” together, she may also like the fact that “Anger Management” is going to be poking fun of the modern celebrity media just as much as it is poking fun of her. Of course, we would be lying here if we did not say that she avoids self-mockery during the episode, as her arrest history and some of her other public problems will be clearly addressed. Now, let’s just hope that it is entertaining to go along with it.
