‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 notes: Hugh Bonneville, Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay
With there being not much out there right now when it comes to scoop on “Downton Abbey” season 4, we’ll settle for seeing what some of the show’s stars past and present are up to. In case you are wondering why everyone in the cast is keeping so tight-lipped, we’ll go ahead and let the following message from new series regular Lily James (Lady Rose) on the subject of how filming is going speak for itself:
“it’s going great… Going to keep my lips sealed on everything at the moment! ;)”
The translation of this is rather simple: everyone on this show wants to keep their jobs, and with that in mind everyone is understandably fearful about saying anything. Therefore, it’s easier to just stay silent than run the risk of ruining a plot point or two.
Hugh Bonneville talks potential “Eastenders” return – While Bonneville surely has his hands full at the moment playing Robert on the ITV drama, he is admitting now that he is still grateful of where he came from. As a matter of fact, he’s actually willing to return to some of his established roots by heading back to the primetime soap “Eastenders” at some point.
In speaking on this very subject in an interview with The Mirror, here is what the Emmy nominee had to say:
“I might go back. I am a jobbing actor and I will take whatever comes along, thank you very much. I would never say never … The actors who work in soaps are the hardest working actors. The amount of material they have to learn is so much. It’s phenomenal.”
Jessica Brown Findlay’s regret – Sorry, the actress does not regret leaving “Downton Abbey” midway through its third season. Rather, she explains to the Radio Times that she still feels disappointed about a very revealing scene in the project “Albatross” that she shot early in her career:
“To be honest, Albatross was naivete and not knowing that I could say no. I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind … It’s not something I would do again.”
