‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele, Idina Menzel’s big moment in ‘Sweet Dreams’
While we reported that it looks somewhat unlikely that Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Naya Rivera are going to be appearing in the “Shooting Star” episode of “Glee” that is airing on April 11, we have some good news now when it comes to the upcoming installment coming on Fox just one week later: it looks like we are going to be seeing an appearance from both parties.
According to a Fox press release, the 19th episode of the season is entitled “Sweet Dreams,” and it will feature everything from Regionals preparation to one of the biggest moments in Rachel Berry’s life as she auditions to be the next Barbra Streisand on Broadway:
“When the New Directions find out this year’s Regional’s theme is ‘Dreams,’ everyone has their own opinion as to what they should sing. Meanwhile, the day has finally come for Rachel to audition for the Broadway revival of ‘Funny Girl’ on an all-new ‘Sweet Dreams’ episode.”
This episode is going to be the one featuring the return of Idina Menzel as Rachel’s mom Shelby Corcoran, which makes some sense given the last time we saw her, she was being encouraged to follow some of her own dreams, as well. NeNe Leakes will also be back in this episode as Coach Roz Washington, and while Dot-Marie Jones is listed as being back for another go as Coach Beiste, we don’t know if we can confirm that one outside of the fact that she will be back in action for “Shooting Star.”

ditto – skipping the shooting star, waiting for the “real” glee cast – who cares about the newbies – and if it continues this way, I won’t be watching next year

Not going to bother watching Shooting Star. Not interested in an all McKinnley episode, or any McKinnley stuff that is newbie centered. Really hoping that in episodes 19-22 they go back to focusing the real Glee Stars which are Lea, Cory, Naya and Chris and that will be the main focus for S5! I don’t think I can deal with another crappy newbie season like S4. But on the bright side, I’ve saved lots of money not buying S4 music and won’t have to bother buying the S4 DVD set.

Don’t care one bit about shooting star just going to wait for some real singing from Lea and Idina. Cleanse my ears from the basic stuff we have been getting voer and over again from the likes of Blaine, Sam, Marley and especially Brittany.

Can’t wait to see Lea and Idina back together again!! Does anyone know what song they are doing? Lea tweeted a video of Streisands “Second Hand Rose” the other day and I thought that might be it, but doesn’t fit with the dream theme.
