‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: Who’s considering a major move?

When we first heard that the title for an upcoming “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 episode was “Romeward Bound,” we just assumed that they were talking about some sort of planned honeymoon for Barney and Robin, or just a quick work trip overseas for Lily. What are we seeing instead? Basically, we have to face the prospect of one of our favorite characters potentially taking off from the others for an extended period of time.

As the official synopsis from CBS below shows, it appears as though none other than Alyson Hannigan’s character of Lily is going to have an opportunity to get a break away from the world of New York City in order to better pursue her career. However, it remains to be seen whether or not this is going to be something that she even wants to do:

“When The Captain asks Lily to move to Rome for a year to be his art consultant, she fears that Marshall will resent her. Meanwhile, Ted and Barney become obsessed with a girl who is hiding her amazing body under a puffy coat.”

So why would he resent her? The easiest explanation for that would be that she doesn’t want to shoulder Marshall with having to take care of the family while on the East Coast, while she takes off in order to pursue some of her dreams. As for the other “coat story,” the woman that is being talked about here is none other than “Hart of Dixie” actress Mircea Monroe.
