ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2, episode 17 preview: The new Hollis Doyle story
Hollis Doyle may be an enemy to many, but on next week’s all-new episode of “Scandal,” he will not necessarily be to Olivia Pope. So what’s the reason why? Ultimately, the answer is rather simple: as detestable as the man might be, there is still a daughter out there somewhere who loves him, and there has to be someone who helps him to ensure that she is safe.
On next week’s episode, this is where Kerry Washington’s character enters the picture, as it is suspected that the young woman is kidnapped. But is there really more going on here than it originally seems? For a response to that, all we have to say is this: remember that this is “Scandal,” and there is always more going on beyond what it initially seems.
As for what else will happen this episode, expect to see some more frightening behavior from Huck, some very creepy behavior out of Jake, and a pretty interesting question raised to Fitz: is Olivia actually using him at this point? Considering everything that he has done to her over the course of the past season and a half, there is definitely a part of us that thinks that turnabout is fair play.
Following this episode, the sad truth is that we are only going to just four more weeks away from the drama’s epic season finale, which will hopefully answer some of the questions that we have about this cast, and also set the stage for what should be a pretty engaging third season. (After all, you have to believe that this show is getting renewed.)

I like to the show and I have been watching the show,But without the excitment that Liv and Fitz bring to the show. I’m afraid the show will lost alot of it fire. I will like to see how the writer is going to bring the two back together for Fireworks maybe in the season finale I hope.

Its also interesting that when Mellie confronts Fitz about being aware of Defiance, she never mentions Hollis and she puts Liv first as the person turned by Cyrus. This was not exactly how things went.

POTUS needs to know that Olivia saved him while at the same time saving her client and she did not seek credit for it. I would like to Fitz to find out that the whole Defiance fiasco was going no where until Hollis told Mellie to sit down and join the party. Finally, I think connecting in that hospital room brought him back.
I notice that Olivia never really defends herself, only everyone else. Its time someone defended her.

Up until now, what is Olivia using Fitz for? She helped him with the hostage situation? Unless when Mellie & Cyrus figure that Captain Crunsh is dating Olivia and he’s coming to see the POTUS, they beieve Olivia is sending him there. But, little do they know that’s not the case. Maybe something will happen in the next episode? I will stay tuned.
