‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: April’s next confession
Over the weekend, we had for you some of the early details about the upcoming “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode entitled “She’s Killing Me,” which is certainly something that makes you wonder just how bad things are about to get for Meredith’s pregnancy. Well, we now have a few more details courtesy of the official ABC press release, and it turns out that Ellen Pompeo’s character is going to be far from the only woman at the newly-named Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital who is dealing with some drama.
Sarah Drew’s character of April is going to also be put in a pretty difficult position for the first time with her new boyfriend Matthew, as she has to reveal something that, given her past philosophies on love, is sure to be rather soul-crushing:
“Upon receiving some unsettling news, Meredith and Derek take preventative steps for their children’s future; a group of Syrian doctors arrive at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for a crash course in basic surgical skills that they plan to apply in the field; and April decides to come clean to Matthew regarding the truth about her virginity. Meanwhile, multiple pre-op patients develop infections, causing one doctor to wonder if she is at fault.”
So will April and Matthew survive this? If they doubt, it does obviously spell out good things for another doctor in Jackson, at least if he is interested in giving things another shot a little later down the road.
We could try to go into the pre-op storyline referenced above, but it would be strictly guesswork based on the lack of detail revealed about it. Therefore, let’s just take a wait-and-see approach on that one.
