‘American Idol’ notes: Jessica Sanchez, Adam Lambert, Kellie Pickler
Let’s start this “American Idol” notes with some visual news: the official single cover for Jessica Sanchez’s debut single “Tonight” featuring Ne-Yo. This is certainly one of the most-anticipated songs of any former contestant in years, and at the moment it is also one of the most mysterious. Only a select few have had an opportunity to hear it, and it is looking more and more like the song may stay under wraps until it is performed on the show Thursday night.
Of course, the thing about single release dates is that they can change at the drop of the hat. Take for example Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” which she released several days early completely out of the blue. With that in mind, we don’t want to really sit here and say for sure anything other than that the song should be available online Friday. We would hope that it would be available on iTunes by the time her “American Idol” performance airs, though, mostly since you would otherwise by missing a great opportunity to rack up downloads right away.
Jessica’s debut album “Me, You, and the Music” will be available for pre-order on March 21, and the album should hit stores on May 7.
Adam Lambert in Moscow – After an extremely long flight up from Southeast Asia, Adam arrived in a much colder part of the world this weekend for some shows in Minsk and Moscow; and now, we have a video from the latter via jadelle11.
The performance we wanted to share here is a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” that he has performed at a variety of stops over the past several months, but given that it is a personal favorite we wouldn’t mind if he covered it at every show.
Kellie Pickler prepares to make her dancing debut – Finally, we bring a reminder to all Kellie Pickler fans that the country star is going to be making her ballroom debut on “Dancing with the Stars” Monday, which makes her the first former “American Idol” contestant to appear as a contestant. She is not the first, however, to appear on the show in any capacity, as many have performed.
It’s not going to be a completely unfamiliar setting for Kellie, as “Dancing with the Stars” shoots literally right down the hall from where “American Idol” does their live shows. She’s also partnered with the most-successful pro on the show in Derek Hough, which gives her a pretty good shot at sticking around.

Looking forward to seeing what AI shows about Adam on Where Are they Now on Thursday. Adam is doing so well on this We Are Glamily Tour. He’s getting excellent reviews all over Asia and Europe. Each venue is jam packed. Hope Jessica stays true to herself and doesn’t let her label put her in a box. I’m sure Kellie will do well on DWTS she’s a sweetie.

I’ll be watching and hoping Jessica’s performance of her single is as good as we hope. I not sure I understand what direction Interscope is going with her music. First I think her first single should be just that a single not a collaboration with another singer.Second I don’t believe that it’s the right song and lyrics for her. Third I just don’t get what Interscope is doing with her. She said she wants to do R&B, urban soul along with some ballads and I think that’s what’s in her wheelhouse not songs like fairytale & Tonight. Jessica has superstar written all over her and I think Interscope is getting in her way.

Adam Lambert international tour has been a great success and the contestant in American Idol history that was asked to stand where the great Freddie Mercury once stood…he made history fronting rock and roll royalty…the sound you hear is not a thud but of someone will real talent who can actually sing live and in key…rare these days…
