‘New Girl’ season 2 spoilers: Jake Johnson talks ‘losing virginity’ episode
While there are a number of “New Girl” episodes coming up that are really worth a great deal of excitement (including an opportunity to see Nick and Jess go on their first sort of date together), the April 30 episode “Virgins” also promises to be quite a bit of fun. Why’s that? The story basically revolves all around how some of these characters ended up losing their virginity, and it of course happened at a variety of different ages, and in very different situations.
So what are we specifically going to see from the story of one Nick Miller? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the scene-stealer better known as Jake Johnson explained that we are specifically going to be seeing a side of the Nick character that was much more confident back then, and also some surprising family bonding:
“Well he was 16. He had braces. He was not a smooth operator believe it or not, but it’s a big father-son kind of – wait that sounds wrong – [Nick and] his father really connect [via flashback] with the idea of how they each lost their virginity. So we get really great Walt/Nick stuff.”
The rest of the show’s second season is going to be very Nick-centric, as we will meet more of the character’s family, what makes him tick, and whether or not there is an opportunity for him or Jess to actually date moving forward. (It may actually take a little bit longer than just a season to completely figure this one out.)
