‘American Idol’ results preview: Are Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez the two in trouble?
Now that we have seen the entire top ten perform on “American Idol,” we are now at that difficult position in which we have to try and figure out just who is going to be leaving the game. With the new voting system (which includes those “supervotes” online), this is not quite so easy as it once was to figure out.
Nonetheless, there are three names rising to the top when it comes to people likely to be put on the famous “bottom three” stools near the end of the night … but to us the person going home is pretty obvious. (It’s to be seen whether or not America agrees.
In Danger
Janelle Arthur – We hate that she is given that she is the only person who actually decided to not sing a ballad, but there are a few problems that she is facing that frequently doom many contestants: she performed early in the show, does not have a big personality, and the women on this season are pretty incredible singers. She won’t go home, but will at least sweat a little bit.
Devin Velez – Devin genuinely has us worried this week, mostly because him doing these slow songs every week is going to bore viewers out of watching him longer than just for a few minutes. He’s probably our top candidate so far to go home earlier than he should … but he won’t go home yet.
Likely elimination
Curtis Finch Jr. – This to us seems like a no-brainer at the moment. He had the dreadful lead-off performance spot, he chose an impossible song in Fantasia’s “I Believe,” and he was completely all over the place. Add to that the fact that he often comes across as rather smug, and this is a recipe for disaster.
