‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Joseph Morgan hypes ‘The Originals’

KlausOver the course of the past several days, much of the “Vampire Diaries” cast and crew has been hard at work shooting the backdoor pilot for “The Originals,” a show that is promising to be a rather big one when it airs as an episode of the flagship series on April 25. We are going to see an entirely new setting in New Orleans, a whole new score of characters, and of course a story that puts Joseph Morgan into the spotlight as Klaus.

So with this in mind, it’s certainly fair to say that the actor has quite a bit to say about the work that he has done thus far. Rather than talk about himself first and foremost, though, he instead hyped up on Twitter one of the show’s new co-stars in Charles M. Davis, who plays Klaus’ old chum and the head of the New Orleans supernatural scene in Marcel:

“When ‘The Originals’ pilot hits TVs on April 25th you’re all gonna go crazy and hit your follow buttons for this man @CharlesMD Trust me ;)”

Just in case this was not enough for you, Morgan also shared what seems to be a quote from the actual episode … and it is a pretty cool one:

“I don’t have to prove anything love, I am the Alpha”

While we are still calling “The Originals” formally a pilot, it is still hard to imagine a world in which this is not picked up for a full series. “The Vampire Diaries” is The CW’s highest-rated show by a pretty wide margin, and Klaus along with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are both popular characters.

What are you the most excited about when it comes to this potential spin-off? Be sure to share what you think below, and you can also check out a sneak peek from Thursday night’s new episode “Bring It On” over at the link here.
