‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: How Naya Rivera, Lea Michele’s stories collide
There have been too many opportunities as of late to find out some scoop on “Glee” season 4 during the filming hiatus, Ryan Murphy was kind enough to spill the beans at the Paley Center for Media Wednesday night, where he was being honored for his work as one of the most notable producers of the past decade.
There are still a number of interesting developments to come later this season, with one of them being the idea that Rachel Berry would become so enamored with her new life in New York City that she would lose much of herself in the process; and ultimately, it would take a life-changing surprise along with help from an unlikely source in order to realize the error of her ways. While the showrunner was mum to TV Guide about the pregnancy scare, he did say that this event, plus the arrival of Santana, would serve as big-time wake-up calls to Lea Michele’s character moving forward:
“For me, I was really interested in that idea of the single girl in New York trying to figure it out and I wanted something that would jolt her, good or bad, back to her core … She and Santana have a really big story about that where Santana is like, ‘What the hell happened to you?’ which I think happens to a lot of people right out of high school. They waver from their dream a little bit and Santana’s job is to sort of get her back on the right track.”
Murphy also spoke a little bit about the fact that he wants to do something brand-new for much of season 4 along with a potential season 5, and he also finally touched on just what some of what Naya Rivera will be up as Santana moving forward now that she is in New York:
“I think she’s going to try to be a star in a different way. I don’t see her as a NYADA gal, but I do see her being a star … I think she’s much rougher and more facile than the others, but she will do very well there.”

I don’t think the show is as good without more of Leas amazing voice. Also the writers cannot continue to ignore the “endgame” that every loyal fan wants! Finchel forever! Brittana forever and Klaine. Lea and Cory need to act more together their chemistry is unbelievable. When they did that duet on I Do it was wonderful. I personally love a Finchel reunion and them making their way together in NYC!

The stories back at McKinley aren’t interesting anymore. NYC isn’t much better. Santana is most intriguing to liven things up. Anyhow, I think it should have ended last season.

Finchel forever I dont like Santana much and the big reason I still watch is bevause of finn and Rachel they showed that there love for eachother will always prevail. :)

Don’t really care, love both characters. As long as they keep Darren Criss singing and dancing, I’ll keep watching. It would be nice to see them give ‘Marley” a personality of some kind. She can sing and dance, but she’s a floor mat, letting people (like Kitty, among others) walk all over her. If she’s supposed to the be ‘new Rachel’, it’s not happening. With Rachel, you either loved her or hated her, but you cared. Can’t seem to care about Marley. It would be nice to see Marley get a personality (good, bad ANYTHING) and I’d love to see her and Ryder get together!

I think we all know who the true star of Glee is… Lea Michelle is old news it’s time for someone else to take over the spotlight (cough, cough.. Naya Rivera). Lea’s character is jaded and boring… I didn’t watch an entire episode of Glee season 4 until Santana’s storyline reappeared. Santana is a character with enough layers, to where, a lot of diverse scenarios can be created with her, while not seeming completely ridiculous and forced. What’s happening to Rachel is NOT interesting, I don’t know if it is because it’s not believable.. (seriously… Rachel’s pregnant?) or if it’s because her character is just boring… Sorry to be so harsh but it’s the truth.. Also, the new characters just are not working… It would be like replacing the original cast of Friends… It’s just not the same. Hopefully the Glee team turns it around, I had high hopes with the ending of season 3.

Based on what I have heard the showrunner talk again he wants no interaction between Finn and Rachel and again I am not interested in a show where Finn has to have a dream that is somehow less than what he was and is. He also talked about inclusive with everybody and this again dilutes the impact of the show because he has too many characters on this show that I do not care about right now anyway. The dynamic the money shot is when these two strive to get ahead together fighting the good fight and that does not mean romantically that would be a bonus but the battle needs to be drawn. I do not care about the fame reboot I felt underdogs would find their own path not the traditional path that path could be finn and rachel leading a group to do it taking in to the streets but sadly that is not going to happen so again the show is over for me.
