‘Duck Dynasty’ season 3 premiere: The Robertson’s are back, everyone happy happy happy
It has been a long long long (did we mention long?) wait for “Duck Dynasty” to come back on the air, but the Robertson’s are back and it was well worth the wait.
A&E generously gave fans 2 brand new episodes of “Duck Dynasty” for the season 3 premiere and we didn’t realize just how much we missed this show until we heard uncle Si’s first ridiculous story. In the first episode of “Duck Dynasty” the boys were one day away from duck season and in preparation they decided to rough it for the night, sleeping in tents with no showers for a week. While Jase, Si, Martin and Goodwin all brought tents and sleeping bags to the camp out, Willie brought a camper – his idea of “roughing it” was a little different then the others. Between the bugs, dropping their food on the ground and the snake that just won’t die, Si decided to bail on the boys, leaving them to fight the elements on their own. With lures of fettuccine and video games, Godwin and Jep end up abandoning the group to hang out in Willie’s trailer and after a dinner of marshmallow sandwiches and the tent falling to the ground Martin pulled the chute and went to Willie’s trailer too leaving Jase all alone in the wilderness.
As for episode 2 of “Duck Dynasty” Willie is planning to go to his high school reunion, but after Jase teases him about gaining a few extra pounds over the years Willie decides to try to slim down for the event. After a trial run with a shake weight that goes no where fast, Willie agrees to let Jase help him get in shape, unfortunately for Willie this “work out” is really just chopping Jase’s firewood. Willie ends up getting so desperate that he joins his wife Korie at yoga in hopes of shedding a few extra pounds and after busting his tail, Willie thinks he’s lost enough weight that he can fit into his jacket and do up the buttons – he’s feeling great and looking great. Korie later reveals that she took the jacket back to the store and replaced it with a bigger size and Willie is none the wiser.
