‘90210’ season 5 spoilers: Prince Michael Jackson lands first acting gig
If you are an Olympian, or singer, or celebrity in general looking to make your acting debut on a show, then you are more than likely going to be heading to America’s most-famous zip code. “90210” has become a great landing spot for first-time actors over the years, especially since the writers and producers are willing to work with you and find a way to make your appearance somehow fit into the story.
The latest example of that? Well, it comes courtesy of the song of the King of Pop. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prince Michael Jackson has been booked to guest star in the season finale of the show, where he will be playing Cooper, a trauma victim who bonds with Jessica Stroup’s character. It is a bold move for Jackson to be playing an actual character rather than himself, but the 16-year old has serious ambitions about becoming more than just a guy whose father is Michael Jackson.
Just last week, it was announced that Prince would be joining “Entertainment Tonight” as an on-air correspondent, and his goals include becoming an actor, producer, screenwriter, and even a director. (Basically, it sounds like he wants to be the male version of Lena Dunham.) This episode of “90210” could possibly end up being its series finale, as the show’s low ratings have led to frequent rumors that this current batch of episodes, which are currently following up “The Carrie Diaries” at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, could end up being the last.
