‘The Bachelor’: Why didn’t Sean Lowe keep Desiree Hartsock?
The last 24 hours have certainly been rather interesting when it comes to Desiree Hartsock. Why? She went into the hometown dates on “The Bachelor” Monday night as someone who was strong favored by many to actually win the entire season, but seemingly thanks to just one of the worst dates known to mankind (and some pretty horrible comments courtesy of her brother), she was instead sent packing by Sean Lowe.
So far the fact, was this brother really the main reason Desiree left, or did Sean have some issue prior to this happening? It is rather interesting, especially when you consider the comments that host Chris Harrison made to TV Guide. First, he said that Sean “let go the love of his life,” and then went on to get into specifics:
“I think it was the brother. Sean is really particular about being able to see himself as a part of the family. What you didn’t see is the first conversation they had went great! Then her brother came back, did a 180 and went crazy. I heard about it later and asked if the producers did something and they said, ‘No, we have no idea what the hell happened.’ It made no sense.”
We wonder how exactly the final three ladies (in Catherine Giudici, AshLee Frazier, and Lindsay Yenter) must feel about what Chris had to say here, mostly because the inference here is obviously that they were not the love of Sean’s life. We also wonder how Catherine would especially feel if she is picked at the end, considering that Sean nearly sent her home even with Desiree’s brother acting the way that he did.
What do you think about Harrison’s comments? If you want to read more on the whole Desiree fiasco, be sure to check out our full “Bachelor” episode review over at the link here.

Nathan overreacted; Sean is not a playboy or a fraud. Good luck
to Sean picking Miss Right.
