‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: Barney and Robin’s next move

Even though we already know that Barney and Robin are going to be getting married on “How I Met Your Mother,” but who’s to say that there will not be any more major steps in their relationship before that point?

With that mind, TVLine is reporting that on one upcoming episode of the hit CBS sitcom, Barney is going to actually consider selling off the beloved bachelor pad that he has called home for so many years in order to move in with his fiancee. However, this will probably not happen under any normal circumstances knowing Mr. Stinson, and he will likely spend a great deal of time while at his open house bragging more about some of his exploits in the condo than the actual condo itself.

Executive producers Craig Thomas and Carter Bays have already confirmed that despite the ninth-season renewal for the show, the wedding between Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders’ characters will still end up happening this season. So what does this mean for learning who is the mother? This is really the key question at this point, mostly because we learned already that Ted does end up meeting her while at this ceremony, and the only real way in which we can see the writers justifying giving us another season is if they give us a taste of the character (such as her voice), but still leave something behind to speculate about for a little while.

By the time we do finally meet the mother, there is going to be a part of us seriously begging for a “How I Met Your Father” spin-off, just so we can see what this woman has been up to all of these years. Who’s with me?
