ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: More Fitz / Olivia scoop
Is the romance between Fitz and Olivia on “Scandal” anywhere near over? Based on what we are hearing right now, the answer is a pretty defiant “no.” As a matter of fact, get ready to see all sorts of intrigue coming up when Mellie suspects that there could be something going on between the two parties again.
According to a brand-new report from E! News, this paranoia will really get started when Mellie notices that the President’s new secretary has been making some time in his schedule for phone meetings … which is something that Fitz and Olivia used for a cover for quite some time. So does this mean that the two are hooking up again? At the moment, we can’t say; and regardless of whether or not it’s happening, the First Lady still has a reason to be upset.
Personally, we expect that while Olivia and Fitz are far from over, it will take a little bit of time for their romance to become hot once again. Kerry Washington’s character is going to be understandably devastated following the rejection Thursday night, and this will still lie in her heart even if she does meet a new suitor (played by Scott Foley) that does just about everything that he can to appeal to her romantic side. Foley’s character is sticking around for a while, so if Fitz does want to try and make something work here, he is going to have a little bit of major competition.

Oh c’mom!! Who’s never said and done very hurtful and painful things to someone they deeply love? It’s really amazing and interesting that the show, Scandal is viewed and enjoyed differently by people worldwide. I’ve talked to people in South Africa, UK and Canada and also had viewing parties (all outside the USA) and the Thomas/Sally reference seems to be a wholly American experience. I guess history has a way of skewing our world view and influencing how we experience life (and TV shows)! Looking forward to the next episode and it would be great to see the show for what it is: A microcosm of reality-it really is all about the Politics of Power, Corruption, Greed, Ego, Weakness, Choices, Responsibility, Definition of Marriage, Forbidden Love, the question and burden of ‘leadership’, Passion, Strange Alliances, the idea that humans are not ‘good or bad ‘but rather good AND bad…..

So Thomas is now going to have sex with Sally & verbally crush her leaving devastation in as his legacy? Wow, much to look forward to…not!
