‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Elena vs. Rebekah is on

Is the relationship between Stefan and Rebekah on “The Vampire Diaries” going to have some unexpected consequences? While Elena may be doing her best right now to be unfazed by what is going on between the two, we have a hard time imagining that this is going to last much longer.

As a matter of fact, we may even see the tension boil over on the upcoming “Into the Wild” episode airing a week from Thursday. After all, why is Rebekah choking Elena? Did Nina Dobrev’s vampire decide that she wanted to be with Stefan over Damon, after all? It’s possible that the anger over this may simply be unconscious, and Rebekah is going for the choke hold here based on something pertaining to the vampire cure (you know, that thing that has taken over most of the storylines over the course of the past several months).

This episode is going to take place on an island near Nova Scotia, which is where Professor Shane believes that both Silas and the vampire cure are located. If you think that some of what has happened on the show thus far is messy, just wait until you see what is in store for some of the characters there. All of the factions are going to go to war in the most remote of places, and based on some of what we are seeing, it is not altogether easy at the moment to know just who is going to end up siding with who.

Considering that this is a November sweeps episode, be sure to expect a number of stunners to unfold here.
