‘Girls’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Who’s the bad friend now?
The friendship between Hannah and Marnie on “Girls” is almost like a boomerang; just when you think that one of these people has completely tossed the other one to the side, they find a way to slowly gravitate back towards each other yet again.
So how will this happen on Sunday night’s new episode? It’s ultimately rather simple: Hannah is throwing a dinner party, and shockingly Allison Williams’ character decides to show up despite only getting an invitation out of courtesy. Just so that the event is even more awkward, we also learn for whatever reason that Hannah has also chosen to invite both her ex Charlie and his new girlfriend to the occasion. (What we are curious about at the moment is just whether or not Marnie spending the night with Charlie recently is going to be addressed, even if the two did not sleep together.)
In a very different note, those of you who have been upset about the lack of Jessa and Shoshanna as of late are going to have something to be very much excited about. Both characters are going to be returning to the show this week, and they each will also have a very interesting story. While Jessa seems to to be trying (and failing) to have a connection with Thomas-John’s parents, Shoshanna is going to come to the realization that her new partner-in-the-bedroom Ray is practically living with her at the moment based on all of the time that he is spending with her.
If you were in Marnie’s shoes, would you have chosen to actually attend this party? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can also head on over to the link here if you want to read our full review for this past strange, but also wonderful, new episode.
