‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: A competition and a mystery
Just in case you felt as though there was not enough drama on “Grey’s Anatomy” at the moment, know this: some doctors will be butting heads soon to seize power in a pretty major capacity. What does this mean? We’ll share our theories in a second, but first we feel it is appropriate to share the official synopsis for “The Face of Change,” which is the episode set to air on February 7:
“Competition heats up as several of the doctors fight to become the new face of Seattle Grace; April brings in an emergency case, and Jackson and Alex work with a transgender teen couple. Meanwhile, the hospital implements new policies which test the patience of the staff.”
The first sentence to us is clear the most interesting one, as it makes us wonder what “the face of Seattle Grace” really means. Is it possible that Owen has been removed of his position? Considering that his mistakes have now possibly put the hospital $90 million in the hole thanks to a lawsuit, it is pretty understandable if you would want to ask that question (though there is no word on if the doctors are really going to enforce that settlement once they realize that the insurance company is not going to be footing the bill).
As for the other stories, what will really be nice about Jackson and Alex working together is that it is not a pair that we really see have a separate story of their own often, and it is always nice over the course of a 22-episode season to see people in a team environment who do not often have such an opportunity. Sadly, the last part of this synopsis is so vague that it is almost impossible to guess.
Do you think that Owen’s job could be in jeopardy? If you want to watch a preview for next week’s “Grey’s Anatomy” episode, you can do so here.
