‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 11 preview: Watch [spoiler’s] funeral
Do you want to start tearing up at a “Once Upon a Time” clip? Well, you really don’t have to look any further than the video below. In it, you can have an opportunity to see just how broken-up the town of Storybrooke is over the supposed death of Archie / Jiminy Cricket, and what they are doing to mourn the loss in Sunday night’s new season 2 episode “The Outsider.”
As a viewer, this is yet again a great example of the show giving us an opportunity to have knowledge that the characters do not, and it puts us in a powerful position to dictate our emotions. The fact that we know Archie isn’t dead may not make this scene as emotional as it would otherwise, though conversely, knowing that Regina is innocent of “killing” the psychiatrist has caused enough tears that we don’t even need to see a funeral to begin with.
Ultimately, we don’t see there being any sign coming up here that Regina is going to be able to clear her name anytime soon. While she may be at least somewhat quick to find out that this entire ordeal was a scheme designed by Cora in order to trick Storybrooke, she still has to find a way to prove it. That will not be easy for a woman who has enough of a horrible reputation to be named an “evil queen,” and everyone already has a predisposed position on how evil she is and what she is capable of doing.
Be sure to check back all week, as we’re going to have some more analysis of “Once Upon a Time” sneak peeks … including the first major moves of Captain Hook and what sort of emotional scenes we are going to encounter there between him and Rumpelstiltskin.
