‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ episode 11 preview: Is [spoiler] free?
“American Horror Story: Asylum” made a big move on Wednesday night, especially when you consider that there are still three whole weeks left in their season: they opted to kill off a pair of their strongest characters in Sister Mary Eunice and Dr. Arden in a bizarre “Romeo & Juliet” sort of way as James Cromwell’s character decided that he would rather die than live in a world without the innocent girl he once cherished.
So where does the show go from here? If the latest promo for Wednesday night’s “Spilt Milk” is any indication, one of the big moves appears to be finding a way to finally get Lana out of Briarcliff for good. This is going to be especially bad news for Dr. Thredson, who is now going to have the mother of his unborn child free to do whatever she wants with the fetus. Considering that this child exists in the present day (and is played by Dylan McDermott) we know that the child somehow finds a way to become a man. However, what is left to wonder is just what happened to Lana in between.
As for just what else will happen in this episode, expect to see the Monsignor return to the cloth this week after having a major struggle with his faith, and he may be one of the few people left now who can really figure out just how to turn Briarcliff around or to shut it down entirely. Hopefully, the horrors of what he has gone through with being nailed to a cross will give him an opportunity to try and redeem himself for allowing some of the asylum’s atrocities to begin with.
