‘90210’ season 5 spoilers: A matter of therapy
What is coming up on the second half of “90210” season 5? After a season that drew some problematic ratings, the show really needs to find a way to turn things around in the new year. With that in mind, let’s hope that a certain star from the world of “Alias” will help to lift Liam’s storyline to the next level.
According to a brand-new report coming to us via TVLine, former “Alias” star Merrin Dungey is going to be coming on board the hit CW show for an episode airing in February, where she is going to be tackling the role of a therapist who is assigned to assisted Liam. Thankfully for him, she is going to be someone genuinely interested in helping him, which he certainly needs at the moment given some of the recent drama in his life.
Dungey’s past credits include some roles on some other rather great shows: “Revenge,” “Better Off Ted,” and “Hung.” While no one guest star can help to revive a show, a great story can … and we have to hope that she will be a part of that. “90210” will in many ways be getting a new beginning this year, as it will be heading to a new timeslot at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, where it will be following the “Sex and the City” prequel series “The Carrie Diaries.” If a large audience actually turns out to watch the early years of Carrie Bradshaw, it could actually end up benefiting as a result.
What do you think about this casting, and do you believe that there is anything the series can do to up its game at this point? If you want to find out some more news when it comes to “90210” star Shanae Grimes’ personal life, be sure to head on over to the link here.
